The School Board will be voting on the capital improvement plan on June 16 (meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at 1426 N. Quincy Street, board room, first floor), which includes bond funding for a new elementary school at Thomas Jefferson Park as the “preferred” option that would be placed on a bond referendum the November ballot. Four designs
unveiled on June 10 show a significant impact on park land with no consideration for undergrounding or tiered parking.
